Femoroacetabular impingement

Hip products

When hip morphology limits movement, precise resection restores it.

Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) describes a change in the shape of the hip joint components, in which the femoral head or neck and the rim of the acetabulum no longer fit together optimally. This results in mechanical tightness during typical movements - especially hip flexion and rotation, leading to repeated impingement.

This friction places particular stress on the labrum and the surrounding articular cartilage and can cause pain and structural damage over time.
